A movement is under way… one that we CANNOT ALLOW any political party to hijack.. this is a movement of the people and democracy! And we the people are tired of backroom deals, crony-capitalism, bailouts, and market manipulation that widen the gap between the rich and poor.
Our Nation was founded in the entrepreneurial spirit… Sadly, our free-markets have been hijacked by lobbyists and backroom deals between our government and corporations who have little to no accountability! The time for accountability is NOW! We… the 99% have a voice and that voice is thankfully guarded by our beloved Constitution. Let us use that voice to demand better Strategy Transparency and Accountability to Results in our Elected Officials, The businesses we sustain through our votes of dollars, and last but not least… Ourselves! We must become more educated, aware, and vocal… rather than let the media or any one party hijack our voice!
Some specific points:
1) End Market Manipulation and Wild Speculation on Wall-Street, possibly through re-enacting the Uptick Rule and the Glass-Steagall Act that Lobbyists convinced George Bush and Bill Clinton to undo so they could game the system over a decade.
2) Support Entrepreneurialism and Local Businesses and Small Businesses that are the backbone of our Economy through small business de-regulation and better education and tools to help them grow their businesses in a sustainable way.
3) Increase the Separation of Business and State… No More Lobbyists No More Billion Dollar Loans to Friends and Families of Senators! No More Lies! Through increased public awareness and accountability we the people will determine the success of a company through our hard-earned dollars… not the government.
4) Adjust the tax system to a fair and equitable state, ending massive tax-breaks and loop-holes for too-big to fail conglomerates. Ex: Why did GE, despite posting Billions in Profits pay $0 in taxes?
5) Encourage the use of social media and other emerging technologies to increase the transparency and accountability in our elected officials and their dealings while also making it a point of personal responsibility to share good experiences with businesses as well as bad experiences.
